Store managers must locate and identify assets in their store and record a serial number if available. Once completed, store managers must verify the asset and serial number with the online asset list using the procedure outlined in the Complete The Audit of Your Assets section.
In the online list, the assets are broken down into Asset Types.
Note: Assets that do not appear in the online asset list should be added using the procedure outlined in Adding an Asset.
Some asset types end with “FD” (e.g., EQUIPFD, or COMPUTERFD). This is used to identify Fully Depreciated assets from an earlier Fixed Asset System. These assets have no net book value, and have no depreciation cost to the store. However, our records show that they are at your store.
|Cash Registers (CASHREG)|
The SWEDA and SHARP cash registers. Each cash register is identified by serial number.
Non-JDA computer equipment. Includes: PCs, monitors, printers, etc.
All non-fixture related assets.
Includes: photocopiers; fax machines, TV’s, telephone system, furniture, (removable) store displays, certain types of security system equipment etc. Not all of these asset types will have serial numbers.
Note: Store equipment such as display fixtures, slatwall accessories, racks, shelves, and sign holders, etc. is excluded from this audit.
JDA types are all assets associated with the JDA lane registers. There are also JDA computers other than the JDA lane registers that need to be accounted for.
Note: Do not add individual asset for these items if they are missing from the list.
Each JDA store will also have a “server” and “router” installed in a rack in either a back room or storeroom.
The remaining JDA and FCS assets on the asset listing are for installation, other components, and any replacements you may have received.
Leasehold Improvements (LHIMP)
Assets that are physically attached or built into the store. We will NOT be taking these assets with us if we leave the store so they will not appear on the UNAUDITED asset list.
