Getting Started with Follett ACCESS
Download and follow the steps in Follett ACCESS: New Campus Implementation Guide. The implementation guide, along with the steps below, help prepare you for your campus meeting and next steps.
Step 1: Educate Yourself on Follett ACCESS
Use these materials to learn about the Follett ACCESS program, its offerings, and how the digital delivery works. Do not meet with your campus before reviewing and knowing these materials.
□ Review the Follett ACCESS Brochure in detail. This document provides a high level overview of the Follett ACCESS program and is a great reference to distribute at your campus meeting.
□ Review the Follett ACCESS PPT Presentation in detail. Pay close attention to the speaker notes provided. You will use this PowerPoint to present to your campus in step 3.
□ Review the Follett ACCESS Digital Product Guide to ensure that you have a high level understanding of the digital offerings.
You are now ready to have the Follett ACCESS conversation with your campus, move to Step 2.
Step 2: Get Ready for the Campus Meeting
Now that you have educated yourself on Follett ACCESS, it is time to speak with your campus about the Follett ACCESS program and its benefits to the campus, faculty, and students! Before you meet, there are a few things to do.
□ Set up time with your campus contact to talk about Follett ACCESS. Ask them the audience they would recommend having at the meeting and help to coordinate that with your RM.
□ Review the Follett ACCESS Requirements Document. When filled out and signed, this document is used as a green light for the Follett ACCESS team to start to put together a project plan to launch the program on your campus. This document is not needed until Step 4, but you need to know next steps if it comes up in a meeting.
□ Email the Access@follett.com mailbox and your regional manager to let them know that you are having a conversation about Follett ACCESS with your campus. If needed, set up a call to resolve any questions prior to meeting with your campus.
□ Download and print the Follett ACCESS Brochure and Follett ACCESS PPT Presentation.
Important: Do not change the Follett ACCESS PPT Presentation in any way. Also, do not print the speaker notes on the copy you provide to the campus attendees.
Print a copy of the Follett ACCESS Brochure and Follett ACCESS PPT Presentation for each attendee at the meeting.
Step 3: Conduct the Meeting
You are now ready to host the meeting with your campus.
□ Present the Follett ACCESS PowerPoint Overview.
- Be prepared for questions. You will not know all the answers, so take notes. Don't be afraid to say that you will get back to them with answers.
□ At the end of the presentation, ensure you and/or your RM has the conversation with the champion of the program to confirm we can move forward with the signing of the Follett ACCESS Requirements Document, or the Follett ACCESS Contract Amendment (if your RM deems you need it to amend the current contract to cover Follett ACCESS billing terms and process).
□ Email the Access@follett.com mailbox and your regional manager with any questions that came from the meeting. Also, report any next steps needed to get the documents signed and move forward with implementation.
Step 4: Determine Next Steps
□ Coordinate with your RM and marketing vice-president (MVP) to determine if you need the Follett ACCESS Contract Amendment for your campus. Newer Follett stores have already incorporated the Follett ACCESS agreement into the contract.
□ Review the Follett ACCESS Requirements Document again and fill it out based on the program that is being launched. This document, when filled out and signed by the campus, is used as a green light for the Follett ACCESS team to start to put together a project plan to launch the program on your campus.
□ Complete the Content Request Form, which details the course materials being used.
Once you receive confirmation, complete the Store Setup.
