Reports
The Reports tab provides access to reports on store sales, financial status, and exceptions. Reports include summary of store activity and performance. You can view, export, save, and print reports, and view report schedules in this feature. The report output can be tailored based on ad hoc report settings. Reports viewed frequently can be added to a list of Favorite Reports. Favorite Reports can be scheduled on a repeating basis.
TIP: Add reports that you must review daily, like the Exceptions Reports - Cancelled Refund, and Post Void and Price Modification Report - to your Reports Favorites
Use the appropriate subtab and left navigation link to access the available reports, listed by category: Sales, Financial, and Exceptions.
Note: When closing the store, you can also run Till Summary, Register Summary, and Store Summary reports from the CORE POS register only, not CORE Back Office. The reports are available in the Admin u Reports menu in CORE POS. These reports are only available as part of the end of day process; you cannot go back and reprint these reports.
Sales
Under the Sales subtab, you can access these reports, based on your security.
Financial
Under the Financial subtab, you can access these reports, based on your security.
Exceptions
Under the Exceptions subtab, you can access these reports, based on your security.
Important: As identified in the Management Self-Audit, review the Cancelled, Refund, and Post Void and Price Modification Report daily.
Reports Functionality
Report Action Buttons
Functionality varies based on the report. However, how that function works is the same throughout each report. The report buttons available in the Reports menu include the following:

Done | When viewing an ad hoc report, returns you to the displayed report screen where the Adhoc button was selected. |

Remove | Removes a favorite report. |
Save | Saves a report schedule definition. |
Schedule Report(s) | Adds report to a report schedule. |
View | Displays a report based on the ad hoc report settings selected. |
Ad Hoc Report Settings
When the Ad Hoc button displays for a report, additional settings are available to tailor the report content. The start and end dates covered by the report and information that is included can be chosen.
The start and end dates for the report are chosen by selecting a reporting period or entering start and end dates.
Report information sets which data is included in the ad hoc report. Options can be selected from menus or may be enabled for selection, e.g., radio button.
A report information option may include the selection of All or None. None selects a summary of the data. For example, if you select All for Register, one row of data for each register is displayed in the report. If you select None, only one row is displayed with data totaled for all registers.
Drill Down Reports
If you select a hyperlink within the report data, the drill down report is displayed for the select hyperlink. In most instances, the columns do not change when the drill down report is displayed. Drill down reports do not have the ad hoc capability.
Add to Favorites (Schedule a Report)
If you want to schedule a report to generate on a regular basis, you must add it to your favorites and then schedule.
To add a report to your favorites:
- Select the report.
- Click the Add to Favorites button (Reportsu Select the report uAdd to Favorites.
The report is then added to your My Favorite Reports list. - From the Reports main tab, click the My Favorite Reports subtab to access any reports saved as a favorite.
My Favorite Reports displays. - Click the link in the Settings column, Today, Hierarchy: >>Follett, to edit the settings.
You can change the name or date range of a report.
- Important: Select the Prior Day option from the Run report by Reporting Period drop-down to generate a daily report the next day.
- Select Save to save the settings.
Schedule Reports
Click the Report Schedules subtab to display a list of your defined reports scheduled. You can add and remove report schedules from this screen. A report schedule is used to execute favorite reports on a repeating basis.
Note: A report must be defined as a favorite before it can be added to a schedule.
You must also schedule reports in your Favorites listing. Select the report to be scheduled from the My Favorite Reports list.
- Click the Schedule Report(s) button to set up the schedule.
The Report Schedule Definition displays. - Type the report name in the Schedule Name section.
- Enter the Run Date.
- Select the Repeating checkbox.
- Enter the time in the Run Time section to indicate the time the report is generated.
- Select Add.
- Select Email from the Send via drop-down and enter your email in the To field, then select Add.
- Select Save.
The report displays on the Report Schedules with the updated information.
To edit an existing report schedule, click the name/link of the report schedule to access the parameters and edit as needed. To add a new report schedule, click Add. In both cases, the Report Schedule Definition screen displays where you can select the settings for the report schedule.
Remove a Report
To remove a report from your My Favorite Reports list, select the check box in the Select to Schedule or Remove column next to the report and click Remove.
To remove a report from Report Schedules, click the Select to Remove checkbox in the column next to the Report Schedule Name you want to remove. Click the Remove button.
