Contactless Tender Customer Experience
This topic provides an overview of the customer experience at the PIN Pad when providing a contactless tender, like Card Tap, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung.
Contactless tenders are part of the credit/debit tender process on the cashier side. See the Tender with Credit/Debit Card topic.
Here is the PIN Pad home screen when in idle state, or ready to accept payment.
On the Item screen with the SKU, the eFollett logo does not display.
Here is an example of a sales transaction using a TAP enabled credit/debit card or the customer can proceed with Apple, Samsung, or Google Pay with the Credit/Debit tender option selected by the cashier in CORE POS.
An approval message displays on the PIN Pad when tender is successful.
Here is an example of a no receipt return or return with a receipt using the credit/debit tender option.
Rental Express Registration/Collateral Update
The TAP option is not available for rental collateral. Customers must insert or swipe their card for rental express registration or collateral update.
Email Capture on PIN Pad
The email address entered by customers on the PIN Pad is displayed in bold for better readability.
