View Total Sales
View the total sales for a specific time frame in the current year with
the comparable time frame in the previous year. This report provides the
daily, weekly, monthly and yearly sales data compared to the previous
year. When you access Daily Sales, the fields for generating
total sales figures are presented
by default.
- In the Rollup
Type field, select your authorization level. View options.
- If the store number you are generating Total Sales
reports does not appear in the Rollup
Value field, select your store number.
Note: Group
VPs and Region Managers have different values in this field depending
upon the value they have set in Rollup
Type.
- Click the Calendar
icon and select the date for which you want to display information.

Type the date using
the following format: mm/dd/yyyy
Note: You can scroll forward or backward through the calendar by clicking
the arrow buttons.
- Select the Store Type. View options.
Note: This
option is not available to Store Managers.
- Click Run.
The Total Sales
- Consolidated Report appears.

Daily | The date you entered in the Date
field compared to the comparable day from the preceding year. These columns will always compare data from comparable
days of the week; Monday to Monday,
Tuesday to Tuesday, etc., and not strictly by date. For example, if you
enter a date of 06/28/2003, which was a Saturday, the system looks for
the closest comparable Saturday from the preceding year, in this case
06/29/2002. Column Names:- TY
(This Year)—This
is the year value you entered in the Date
field.
- LY
(Last Year)—One
year previous to the value entered in the Date
field.
- $Var
(Variance)—The
dollar amount difference between TY and LY.
- %Var
(Variance)—The
difference, expressed as a percentage, between TY and LY.

Weekly | The business week runs from Sunday through the following
Saturday. These columns present data for the business week up
to and including the date you entered in the Date
field. For example, let's say you entered the date 10/10/2003 (a Friday). When you click
Run, weekly data from the following
date ranges appears: - 10/05/2003-10/10/2003—Data is presented
for this range of days (Sunday through the specified Friday in this example).
The data from Saturday October 11 is omitted, even though it is a part
of this business week, because it occurs after
the date entered in the Date
field.
- 10/06/2002-10/11/2002—The
corresponding Sunday through Friday range for the previous year.
Column Names:- TY
(This Year)—This
is the year value you entered in the Date
field.
- LY
(Last Year)—One
year previous to the value entered in the Date
field.
- $Var
(Variance)—The
dollar amount difference between TY
and LY.
- %Var
(Variance)—The
difference, expressed as a percentage, between TY and LY.

Monthly | These columns present data for the business month up
to and including the date you entered in the Date
field. For example, let's say you entered the date 10/10/2003. When you click
Run, monthly data from the following
date ranges appear: - 10/01/2003-10/10/2003—Data is presented
for this range of days.
The data from Saturday October 11 through the end of the month is omitted, even though it is a part
of this business month, because these dates occur after
the date entered in the Date
field.

corresponding date range for the previous year.

Yearly | These columns present data for the fiscal year up to and including the date you entered
in the Date field. Note: The
Follett fiscal year runs from April 1st through the following March 31st. For example, let's say you entered the date 10/10/2003. When you click Run,
yearly data from the following date ranges is presented: - 04/01/2003-10/10/2003—Data is presented
for this range of days (The first day of the fiscal year through the specified
date). The data from October 11 through the end of the fiscal year is
omitted, because it occurs after
the date entered in the Date
field.
- 04/01/2002-10/10/2002—The
first day of the fiscal year through the corresponding date for the previous
fiscal year.
