CORE POS PIN Pad Update Process
Follow the steps below when directed to complete a PIN Pad Update.
- Launch the CORE POS POS application icon on the desktop.
The PIN Pad Maintenance Utility screen displays on the register.
A progress bar displays on the PIN Pad.
It takes about 15—20 minutes for the process to complete.
The progress bar displays like the image below when in process.
While the progress bar is completing on the PIN Pad, the POS screen displays like the image below.
Once the download and installation is successful, a message displays on the PIN Pad.
Next, the following screens display in the order listed:

- Once the download completes, the screen below displays on the register.
Select OK to launch the register.
The PIN Pad is initialized and the screen below displays on the register.
After the PIN Pad is initialized, the store specific URL displays on the PIN Pad and the POS application is launched on the register.
Note: When the CORE POS application is launched for the first time in a day, it will not ask for any user prompts for the forms upload, the forms upload just starts. If the form upload fails for any reason in the first launch of the application, and if you launch CORE POS a second time in a day, a prompt displays:
Do you want to apply the updates?
Select Yes or No. The forms are uploaded only if the user selects Yes.
