Using the Discount Matrix

Discount matrices are set up in CORE POS by the home office to support any standard discount structure for all contractually obligated discounts. See the Pricing topic for more information on setting up store-specific discount rules.

A matrix is also set up for both Follett family and team member discounts. Store management must ring transactions for team member discounts. Follow the Follett Family & Team Member Discount policy.

To apply the discount at the POS:

1. Ring the items in the transaction normally.
2. Select Pricing.
   
   The available Pricing choices displays.
3. Select Discount Matrix.
   
4. Select the Customer Group from the drop-down.
   For example, Family or Associate (team member).
   
5. Select Next/Enter.
   The discount is applied.
6. Tender the sale normally.
