Searching for a Transaction
Use the Search function to locate a transaction and perform a return when the customer does not have a receipt. There are several search options available:
- Searching for a Transaction Using the Check Number
- Searching for a Transaction Using the Credit, Debit, or Gift Card Number
- Searching for a Transaction Using the Item Serial Number
- Searching for a Transaction Using the Order Information
If needed, you can also review the receipt format to identify transaction information.
Searching for a Transaction
- Select Search on the Return Options screen. The navigation buttons for the search options display.
- Choose the type of search. Select Next/Enter.
The Display Trans. screen displays. - Select a transaction and select Next/Enter.
The Select Item screen displays.
Searching for a Transaction Using the Check Number
- Select Check.
The Check Search screen displays.
Searching for a Transaction Using the Credit, Debit, or Gift Card Number
- Select Credit/Debit.
You are prompted to ask the customer to swipe their card. If the card is not successfully swiped, you are prompted to search by partial card number. If you select Yes, the Credit/Debit Search screen displays.
- Enter the required information and select Next/Enter.
If transactions are found for the card, the Select Item screen displays.
Searching for a Transaction Using the Item Serial Number
- Select Serial Number.
The Serial Number Search screen displays. - Enter the required information and select Next/Enter.
If transactions are found for the serial number, the Select Item screen displays.
Searching for a Transaction Using the Order Information
- Select Order.
The Order Search screen displays. - Enter an order number or select the type of order search:
- To search by customer, select Customer. The Order Search by Customer screen displays.
- To search by credit card, select Credit Card. The Credit/Debit Search screen displays.
- Enter the required information and select Next/Enter.
If transactions are found for the order, the Select Item screen displays.

The receipt barcode format provides details that easily translate to key transaction information.
