PayPal is an available tender for payment on eFollett.com.
Customer Experience
Both PayPal and PayPal Credit (U.S. stores only) are available tenders on eFollett when the order is placed.
The customer is then prompted to log into PayPal to process their payment. PayPal is authorized at the time of shipment.
eFollett charges appear on the customer’s monthly PayPal statement as: PAYPAL *XXXXCAMPUSBOOKS. XXXX = Store #.
If the customer has any questions about PayPal, direct them to paypal.com or 888-221-1161 for assistance.
Important: PayPal cannot be used as rental collateral.

Order Processing
Order processing and fulfillment is the same for orders paid with PayPal.
- PayPal tenders are processed automatically through the ePay process in SODA. See the Order Fulfillment Process.
Note: PayPal cannot be manually charged. - When sorting by tenders in SODA, PayPal displays as a tender.
- PayPal also displays as a tender on eStore Portal reports.
- Refund dollar limits remain based on the user’s SODA security level. Refunds are conducted through the SODA Returns process in SODA.

The SODA Tender Refund Matrix has been updated to allow alternate tenders if the PayPal tender fails.

PayPal Web Order Exceptions
The web exception displays for one of two reasons:
- The email address associated with the PayPal account was not verified.
- The credit limit for PayPal has been reached.
Web order exceptions is no different than resolving other payment exceptions.

PayPal Re-authorization Logic
If the PayPal authorization has expired, ePay has functionality to automatically request the re-authorization. This should eliminate the PayPal 91507 web order exception.

- Choose the correct order on the web exceptions screen and select Edit Tender.
- Click Select/Add Tender.
- Choose PP (PayPal) as the correct tender and click Select.
- First, enter the same Document/Card Number (token) on the second line.
Note: You can enter only in all caps, but SODA will still accept this entry.
Then enter a valid expiration date, but you must pick a date in the future.
Note: The Month/Year format must be entered in SODA without a /. For example, if the expiration date is 08/22 (August, 2022), enter 0822 in the Exp Date field.
Finally, enter the amount as shown for the first PP (PayPal) account.
- Select the first PP Tender, enter option 4, then select Accept.
