Whats New in Follett Access? April 2022

SAM 1.47 Release

The Follett ACCESS program is looking to build on overall system optimization/efficiencies with the SAM 1.47 (2022_3.4) release. However, along with general improvements to the overall application responsiveness and processing of background jobs, several new features and fixes were able to be introduced as well.

Course Reference Number (CRN)/Section Key Addition to Invoicing

In the SAM 1.47 release the Course Reference Number (CRN)/Section Key to Invoicing was introduced. This has been a long sought-after feature asked for by both our Store and Campus Partners. When running the Invoice from SAM, you will now have not only the DDCS identifier, but also CRN/Section Key. This should help campuses with overall identification of Follett ACCESS Sections which should assist in a more prompt/timely payment of outstanding A/R.

Regional Manager Role Access to Customer Portal

Users that were setup with the Regional Manager role in SAM previously did not have access to the Customer Portal to perform Opt-In/Opt-Out actions on a student’s behalf. With the SAM 1.47 release, the Regional Manager role has now been granted access to this menu when assisting manage specific ACCESS programs.

Physical Refund Status Update Fix

During Spring Rush, there was an issue identified when performing certain refunds in SODA and the status not updating properly within SAM. The issue has been remedied and even during those specific scenarios where it would occur, it has been resolved.
