SODA Returns in SODA Overview
The SODA Search and Refunds application allows authorized users to search for SODA orders and process a refund for a SODA order tendered through SODA. You can scan the SODA order packing slip or search in SODA to locate the order, if necessary. The refund amount is returned to the original tender type.
Any non-ePay sales transaction or return must be processed through the point of sale. See SODA POS Transactions for complete details.
It is important to understand that the SODA order fulfillment application is different than the SODA Refund application. You must select the correct icon on the desktop. The SODA- Refunds icon is loaded on all registers and workstations.
The SODA refund process starts with a search. All users with access to the SODA Search and Refunds application can perform a search. DSV and Marketplace orders are also returned in the search results.
Only the Advanced Cashier or SODA Returns Manager role can perform refunds. Cashiers are prompted for an override when initiating a refund transaction. An Advanced Cashier or SODA Returns Manager enters their login credentials to proceed.
Important: Shipping/Receiving Exceptions should be performed in SODA—Refunds and not at the point of sale. See Refunding Shipping Charges.
