Term Maintenance in Accelerator
It is important to set up and activate each school term correctly to ensure customers can checkout when placing an online order on eFollett.com. Terms must be activated in Accelerator as soon as the first adoption is entered in CourseTracks to ensure course material data flow and visibility on the store site.
This topic covers key steps to maintain terms in Accelerator.
Important Reminders:
- Once the first adoption is received, don't forget to activate the term.
- Once the term has ended, don't forget to deactivate the term.
Ship Options
All Follett store websites should offer customers the choice of having an order shipped or picking it up in the store (if a physical location is available).
- In-store pickup should be activated for all stores with a physical location.
- Customers should not be given the option to reserve merchandise for in-store pickup without providing a tender, unless approved by your regional manager and communicated to the Follett Support Center.
- Do not deviate from online shipping charges for general merchandise or course material orders unless otherwise directed by the home office.

- Log onto Accelerator.
- From the menu bar, select Store
Manage Institutions.
- Select the checkbox next to the campus associated with the terms to view.
- Click View Terms.
Note: If a campus has only one program, clicking View Terms takes you directly to the Term List page.
- Select the checkbox next to the program associated with the terms to view.
- Click View Terms.

- Log onto Accelerator.
- From the menu bar on the top of the page, select Store
Manage Institutions.
- Select the checkbox next to the campus you want to work with.
- Click View Terms.
Note: If a campus has only one program, clicking View Terms takes you directly to the Term List page. Continue with step 7.
- Select the checkbox next to the program to work with.
- Click View Terms.
- Select the checkbox next to the term to edit and click Edit Term.
- Edit the fields on the page.
View field definitions.
- Click Update This Term.

- Log onto Accelerator.
- Select Store.
- Select Manage Institutions.
- Select the correct campus, if you have multiple campuses.
- Select the correct program, if you have multiple programs.
- Select View Terms.
- Select the Program.
- Select the Term.
- Select Edit Term.
The Term Maintenance screen displays. - Complete the Term Maintenance screen.
Field | Action Required |
Term Name | Term name is supplied by CourseTracks. |
Term Status | Select Active, Allow Purchasing. |
Term ID | If your campus is on Follett Discover View/Shop, verify that the Term ID matches what your campus is using. Otherwise, students are not able to view their assigned course materials. If you do not use these programs, repeat the Term Name. |
In-Store Pickup | Yes is auto-selected to allow in-store pickup. If No is selected, the customer is not able to select In-store Pickup as an option during checkout. |
Ship | Yes is auto-selected to allow the customer to select to have the order shipped to their address. If No is selected, the customer is not able to select Shipping as an option during checkout. |
Prepay Message/ Ship Message | Leave blank to avoid posting conflicting messages from eFollett to the customer. |
- Select Update This Term.

On the Rental End Date, use this procedure to inactivate the term.
- Log onto Accelerator.
- Select Store.
- Select Manage Institutions.
- Select the correct campus, if you have multiple campuses.
- Select the correct program, if you have multiple programs.
- Select View Terms.
- Select the Program.
- Select the Term.
- Select Edit Term.
The Term Maintenance screen displays. - Select Inactive in the Term Status field.
- Select the Update This Term button to save the status.

Use this procedure to remove inactive terms that you no longer want included on the Term List page. A term must be closed in CourseTracks before you can delete it in Accelerator.
- Log onto Accelerator.
- Select Store .
- Select Manage Institutions.
- Select the checkbox next to the campus to work with.
- Click View Terms.
Note: If a campus has only one term, clicking View Terms takes you directly to the Term List page. Continue with step 7.
- Select the checkbox next to the program to work with.
- Click View Terms.
- Select the checkbox next to the term to delete and select Edit Term.
- Select Delete This Term.
- Select OK.

The sort order option allows you to arrange the order in which terms display on the website.
- Log onto Accelerator.
- Select Store
Manage Institutions.
- Select the checkbox next to the campus and click View Terms.
- Select the checkbox next to the program and click View Terms.
- Select the checkbox next to the term you want to establish a sort order for and click Order Terms.
- In the Sort Order fields, type the order in which the terms should display, for example:
- 1 for Summer 2019
- 2 for Fall 2019
- 3 for Winter 2020
- 4 for Spring 2020

Accept the default 9999
- Select Apply.

- Log onto Accelerator.
- From the menu bar, select Store
Manage Institutions.
- Select the checkbox next to the campus associated with the program you want to view.
- Select View Programs.

Booklists are loaded automatically through CourseTracks.
- Log onto Accelerator.
- From the menu bar, select Store
Manage Institutions.
- Select the checkbox next to the campus to view and click View Term Upload Dates.
- Select Return when finished.
